On 10 October 2024, over 130 passionate AI community members gathered at PIXEL for an engaging meet-up dedicated to building trustworthy AI. The evening was filled with insightful presentations, demonstrations, and valuable networking opportunities, all aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of AI testing and assurance.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Dr Ong Chen Hui, Assistant Chief Executive of the Business and Technology Group at IMDA and the Chair of AI Verify Foundation’s Governing Council. Shameek Kundu, the newly appointed Executive Director shared Foundation’s plan and the exciting developments that the community can look forward to in the coming months.
Attendees were treated to an exciting live demo of Project Moonshotand how it can be used to conduct benchmarking and red-teaming to assess Large Language Model (LLM) applications’ performance.
The meet-up featured five distinguished speakers from the industry who provided valuable insights on various aspects of AI testing:
Jordan Seow, Customer Data Scientist at H2O.ai discussed lessons learned from banking model risk management in generative AI testing, offering practical takeaways for attendees.
Dr Han Yang Quek, VP of Data Science, and Marcus Tan, Data Scientist at Ensign InfoSecurity, explored AI model testing through the lens of adversarial AI, shedding light on potential vulnerabilities and the need for mitigation strategies.
Li Ming Tsai, AI Architect for APAC at Red Hat, presented an open-source approach to ensuring AI security, safety, and trustworthiness, encouraging collaboration within the community.
April Chin, Managing Partner and CEO of Resaro addressed the critical importance of AI assurance in bridging the gap between theory and practice.
These presentations sparked engaging discussions and meaningful conversations among the attendees. The event concluded with a lively networking session over food and drinks. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with peers, share insights, and explore the Project Moonshot tech clinic.
